On the distant planet of Kurtainia an alien race of furry, aquatic beings live in an idyllic world. War is a thing of the past and emotions such as envy, greed and jealousy have been removed through genetic engineering.

The Primary Factor

Thousands of years ago, on a distant planet, android slaves realized that their humanoid masters were killing the planet and that this must stop. Introducing nano-technology into the medical equipment they reduced the birth rate to zero and then waited for the last of their old masters to die, before setting about restoring the planet’s natural eco system.
